On behalf of our Client from the UK, Mobilunity is looking for a AI Engineer (Part-time).
The Client runs its own proprietary, self-hosted AI platform. This platform deploys open-source LLMs directly inside the client’s environment—whether on-premises or within a private AWS cloud—ensuring no data is ever shared with third-party AI services. As an AI Engineer, you will help build, enhance, and extend this AI platform to deliver tailored solutions across client projects.
What you’ll do
- Deploy and serve open-source LLMs on GPU hardware with vLLM
- Build RAG knowledge bases over client documents and data
- Develop AI agents that query databases, send emails or create tickets, with guardrails and human approval steps
- Build multi-step workflows triggered by events, schedules or user input
- Integrate the platform with client CRM, ERP and helpdesk systems via APIs
- Set up SSO, role-based access control, audit logging and usage policies
What you’ll need
- Hands-on experience with self-hosted open-source LLMs
- vLLM or a similar model serving framework
- RAG pipelines: document ingestion, search, context-aware answers
- AI agents and workflow automation
- API integrations with business systems
- AWS and GPU-based infrastructure
- Understanding of data security and governance in regulated sectors (healthcare, government, education, professional services)
