AI Engineer

We are looking for a Middle AI/ML Engineer to turn an existing proof of concept into a reliable, production-ready AI agent application. The solution processes hotel occupancy data through external APIs, analyzes it through agent workflows, and performs relevant actions. You will focus on integrations, evaluation, result correctness, and maintainable engineering throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Required for this role

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on experience building AI-powered applications
• Strong proficiency in Python and practical experience building backend applications with FastAPI or a similar Python framework
• Hands-on experience building AI agents with LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks
• Understanding of agent architecture, reasoning and execution loops, state management, and tool calling
• Experience integrating applications with large language model APIs, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure-based model services
• Experience integrating backend applications with external APIs and business systems
• Practical understanding of prompt design, context management, and response quality
• Experience evaluating AI application behavior, output correctness, and result reliability
• Knowledge of Docker and containerized application development
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable production code, take ownership of implementation, and work independently within a distributed team

Your responsibilities

• Transform an existing AI agent proof of concept into a reliable, production-ready application
• Design and implement agent execution workflows, including reasoning loops, state management, tool calling, and integration logic
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Integrate large language models with external APIs and business systems
• Build evaluation processes, tests, and quality controls for agent behavior, response quality, and result correctness
• Improve the reliability, maintainability, and structure of the existing codebase
• Support deployment and operation in an Azure environment and resolve issues across agent workflows, integrations, and application logic
• Collaborate with the client’s lead engineer and project or product manager, communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly
• Contribute to future AI-powered applications, including solutions developed from scratch
