AI Engineer
INFOBUS is one of the leading online platforms for booking bus, train, and flight tickets. We help millions of people worldwide travel affordably and comfortably.
Six of our ten departments already use AI every week, but adoption remains fragmented, without a unified ecosystem. We are looking for an engineer to build a comprehensive AI architecture for the company, rather than maintain existing processes.
Our current projects include INFOBUS Hub (a management portal), AI agent development, and a prototype AI voice agent for customer support.
We are looking for someone who is deeply engaged in AI: writing production code during the day and experimenting with their own agents in the evening.
Responsibilities:
- AI agent development: Build text and voice agents for customer support, with seamless conversation handoffs to human support agents.
- New sales channels: Enable sales through AI channels, including apps in ChatGPT and Claude, and develop APIs and MCP integrations for third-party agents.
- Knowledge and integrations: Build RAG solutions using internal knowledge and integrate them with the BusSystem API, Zoho Desk, n8n, and other internal services.
- Department automation: Build automated workflows for teams across the company.
- Optimization and quality: Monitor response quality and cost, set up evaluations (evals), and optimize latency.
- Knowledge sharing: Run one workshop per month and help internal “AI guides” with complex automations.
Requirements:
- Software development experience: 2+ years of commercial experience with Python or TypeScript.
- AI stack and architecture: Hands-on experience building AI agents using tool use, structured outputs, and MCP. Experience gained through personal projects also counts.
- Modern development tools: Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar solutions.
- Engineering mindset: Ability to investigate and address hallucinations and agent failures. You find debugging these issues engaging rather than intimidating.
Nice to have:
- Experience deploying AI solutions to production and understanding real-world use cases and failures.
- Experience with voice agents (Voice AI) and evaluations (evals).
- Experience in travel or e-commerce.
What We Offer:
- A competitive compensation based on the interview results, plus a bonus for each successful launch with a verified business impact, measured by comparing results before and after launch.
- Work format: fully remote work from any country, preferably in a European time zone within two hours of Kyiv; a five-day working week with two days off and a flexible start time.
- Tools and professional development:
- Company-funded access to all necessary AI tools and services on business plans;
- A separate monthly budget for testing new models and APIs;
- A budget for relevant training, courses, and conferences.
- Culture: An experiment that is measured and stopped at the right time is a valid outcome. Your launch is your case study, which you can present under your own name without disclosing customer data.
- Team: Direct reporting to the MD of infobus.eu (AI Transformation Lead) and close collaboration with an AI Project Manager.
