Role Mission:
We’re looking for an Analytics Engineer to build and manage reliable data pipelines and analytical models that support Data Science, Product, Marketing, and company-wide decision-making.
You will join our Core Analytics team alongside Data Engineers and work closely with analysts embedded in Product and Marketing. You will own the analytical transformation layer—from Python and SQL pipelines in Airflow to documented data marts and consistent business metrics.
Our data environment:
Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, MySQL, ClickHouse, Parquet, AWS, and Tableau.
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain Python and SQL pipelines in Airflow, including scheduling, incremental processing, backfills, and failure recovery.
Develop reusable data models and marts for product activity, marketing acquisition, accounts, subscriptions, payments, and marketplace transactions.
Partner with analysts to translate business requirements into trusted datasets and consistent metrics, including revenue, retention, CAC, and LTV.
Ensure data reliability through automated testing, validation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Optimize pipeline and query performance, maintain documentation, and contribute to code reviews and CI/CD practices.
Collaborate with Data Engineers on ingestion dependencies and infrastructure, owning analytical workflows from development through production.
Requirements:
Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a similar role, owning production pipelines and analytical datasets.
Strong Python skills for data processing and automation, including modular code, logging, error handling, and testing.
Strong SQL skills, including complex transformations, window functions, incremental processing, and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with Airflow or a comparable orchestrator, including workflow development, dependency management, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of dimensional modeling, dataset grain, historical data management, and reliable pipeline design.
Experience integrating data from databases, APIs, and files, including Parquet/Delta.
Familiarity with Git, code reviews, CI/CD, and dbt/Spark or a comparable approach to tested SQL transformations.
Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
Experience with ClickHouse, MySQL, AWS, and datasets supporting Tableau or Power BI.
Understanding of subscription, mobile, or marketplace business models.
Familiarity with attribution, cohort-based LTV, experimentation data, and cross-platform identity resolution.
Experience improving data quality, documentation, and engineering standards within a growing team.
