As we continue expanding our mobile platform, we’re looking for a Middle+ Android Engineer who is excited to build high-quality Android applications while leveraging modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Middle+ Android Engineer with strong Kotlin experience, excellent English communication skills, and a modern AI-first development mindset.
Initially, a significant portion of your work will involve recreating and adapting existing iOS functionality for Android. We actively leverage AI coding assistants such as Claude, Codex, and similar tools to accelerate development, so we’re looking for someone who knows how to use AI effectively rather than someone who codes entirely manually.
You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and iOS Engineers to deliver polished Android experiences while maintaining high code quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin
- Translate existing iOS features into high-quality Android implementations
- Leverage AI development tools (Claude, Codex, etc.) to increase development speed and quality
- Collaborate with iOS engineers to ensure feature parity across platforms
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning
- Debug, optimize, and improve application performance
- Review code and contribute to engineering best practices
- Work closely with Product, Design, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional Android development experience
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin
- Experience building and shipping native Android applications
- Solid understanding of Android SDK and modern Android architecture
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Upper-Intermediate (B2+) English or higher with confidence participating in meetings and technical discussions
- Comfortable using AI coding assistants as part of your daily workflow
- Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a remote environment
Nice to Have
- Experience converting features from iOS to Android
- CI/CD experience
- Experience in sports, fitness, or performance-related applications
- Familiarity with modern AI-assisted software development workflows
