Automation QA Engineer
We’re opening the position of a Middle Automation QA Engineer to work on the project of our Client — a global leader in delivering advanced SaaS solutions for the Energy sector, serving thousands of clients worldwide. Their offerings combine proprietary data, analytics, and software to empower high‑impact business decisions where accuracy, reliability, and trust are paramount. Customers span the entire energy value chain and depend on these solutions to navigate complex markets, optimize operations, and make informed strategic choices.
The project is a cloud-based renewable energy data platform focused on automating the collection, processing, standardization, and delivery of the Energy market and regulatory data from external sources. It leverages scalable cloud infrastructure and distributed data processing technologies to support reliable data integration, high-quality data pipelines, and efficient access to large-scale datasets for analytics and operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Define, implement, and automate data quality checks for data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across SQL tables, Unity Catalog, and AWS S3
- Design and maintain automated tests for large datasets to reduce reliance on manual spot-checking
- Validate development work against requirements and acceptance criteria as features are handed over by Software Engineers
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software- and data-related defects
- Develop, modify, and maintain test plans and test cases for both data quality and functional testing
- Work closely with Software Engineers and the product throughout the SDLC to ensure high-quality and reliable solutions
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve and automate QA processes and data validation practices
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in data validation or pipeline testing
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in validating large datasets and data transformations
- Hands-on experience with Python for test automation and data quality checks
- Experience with test automation, execution, troubleshooting, and defect investigation
- Familiarity with Databricks, Unity Catalog, and AWS
- Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies and SDLC processes
- Proven ability to analyze requirements and define appropriate test scenarios and validation approaches
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on data accuracy, consistency, and overall software quality
- Ability to work closely with Software Engineers and the product throughout the development and testing life cycles
- English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
Will be a plus:
- Experience with PySpark, CI/CD, or data quality tools
