Automation QA Engineer

Description

We are looking for a Middle/Senior Automation Test Engineer to join a team developing and testing an advanced healthcare medical device that combines embedded hardware, software, and user-facing applications.

The project involves a complex hardware-software system used in a regulated medical environment. The main focus of this role is developing and maintaining automated tests using a custom Python-based test automation framework, as well as supporting system and integration testing of the device.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA
• Strong hands-on experience with Python
• Solid experience in test automation
• Experience creating and maintaining automated test suites
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques
• Experience with system and/or integration testing
• Experience testing systems that interact with hardware
• Good debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with Git and defect tracking systems
• Ability to understand technical requirements and system behavior
• Good English communication skills

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using a custom Python automation framework
• Analyze system and software requirements and translate them into automated test scenarios
• Perform system, integration, and functional testing of a medical device
• Work with real hardware, devices under test, simulators, and supporting test equipment
• Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and support root cause analysis
• Maintain and improve the existing automation framework and test infrastructure
• Review test results and report defects with clear technical analysis
• Collaborate closely with software developers, system engineers, and other QA engineers
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and technical discussions
• Contribute to improving test coverage, reliability, and overall test automation efficiency
• Support CI/CD and automated test execution where applicable
