We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Engineer / SDET to build and own a Playwright automation framework.

About the project
You will help establish a reliable, scalable, and maintainable regression capability across the Mapal-OS product family, working closely with developers and engineering teams across different products and application layers.
Key Requirements
- Playwright Expertise: Very strong and recent hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Framework Ownership: Proven experience building and owning an automation framework, ideally from scratch.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Page Object Model, locator strategies, fixtures, test data management, environment configuration, parallel execution, reporting, and CI/CD integration.
- Reliability: Experience diagnosing and reducing flaky tests and maintaining the long-term health of an automation suite.
- Automation Scope: Experience automating UI, API, integration, contract, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Process Knowledge: Good understanding of QA processes in a SaaS environment, including risk-based testing, regression strategy, test-tiering, and defect triage.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and two-week sprint and release cycles.
- DevOps Skills: Good Azure DevOps knowledge, specifically regarding pipelines, test result publishing, quality gates, and traceability between work items and tests.
- AI Integration: Practical experience using AI-assisted coding and testing tools (e.g., Cursor, Codex, Devin, Claude, Copilot, Playwright MCP) and the ability to critically review and validate AI-generated code/tests before incorporation.
- Soft Skills: A proactive and autonomous approach with the ability to identify and raise risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining the Playwright automation framework.
- Automating Smoke, Core, and Extended regression tiers.
- Integrating the automation suite into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensuring the suite remains reliable and maintainable over time.
- Providing occasional manual testing support during high-pressure sprint or release periods.
