Automation QA Engineer

AQA Engineer (C++ / Desktop Applications)

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer with strong C++ skills to join a project focused on the development and testing of a desktop application.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining automated tests for desktop software, understands C+±based applications, and is comfortable working closely with developers to ensure product quality, stability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for a desktop application
• Create and improve test automation frameworks using C++
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and system testing
• Analyze application behavior, identify defects, and investigate root causes
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Review requirements and technical specifications from a QA perspective
• Maintain test documentation and improve overall test coverage
• Collaborate closely with C++ developers, QA engineers, and other project stakeholders
• Participate in debugging and troubleshooting complex application issues
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and automation processes

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience in QA / Test Automation
• Strong hands-on experience with C++
• Experience with automated testing of desktop applications
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and system testing
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools
• Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and investigate failures
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• English level sufficient for communication within an international team

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt / Qt Test
• Experience with Google Test / Google Mock, Catch2, Boost.Test, or similar C++ testing frameworks
• Experience with GUI automation tools for desktop applications
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux desktop environments
• Experience testing multithreaded or performance-sensitive applications
• Experience with Python for supplementary test automation
• Understanding of networking, client-server architecture, or IPC mechanisms
• Experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms
