Automation QA Engineer
We are looking for a Middle Strong AQA Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain automated test suites, support and improve the existing automation framework, and actively contribute to product quality across UI, API, database, and CI/CD levels.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with automation, solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals, understands test architecture, knows how to reduce flaky tests, and can clearly explain technical decisions.
Requirements
Must Have
- 3+ years of commercial AQA experience, including 2+ commercial projects and experience working within an AQA team
- Experience maintaining or improving automation frameworks, with solid understanding of automation architecture, flaky tests, and ways to reduce test instability
- Experience with Playwright or Selenium, including understanding of their key differences
- Solid JavaScript knowledge, including async/await and Promises; basic TypeScript understanding
- Experience with Git and CI/CD: PR flow, merge/rebase/conflict resolution, running automated tests in Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, reports, and parallel test execution
- Strong testing fundamentals: test pyramid, smoke/regression/sanity testing, test design techniques, and understanding of what should and should not be automated
- Basic Docker knowledge and confidence with terminal / Linux commands
- SQL experience: JOINs and basic DB validation queries
- Understanding of OOP, DRY/SOLID, Page Object Model, and common automation patterns
- English Upper-Intermediate
Nice to Have
- Experience building/improving automation frameworks and reducing flaky tests
- Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines for automated tests
- API testing beyond Postman: REST API, HTTP, JSON/XML
- Experience with large datasets and database-heavy products
- Code review, mentoring, or contribution to test strategy/process improvements
- Ability to clearly explain framework architecture and technical decisions
