Automation QA Engineer

Now we have products in Poland. Our ambition will be widespread in EU countries in the next few years. Our projects include next-gen digital banking platforms’ design, delivery, and post-delivery activities. Our team is international but mainly consists of Ukrainian developers. WHAT WE NEED:

• 2+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer (Middle or Senior)

• Proven experience writing automated tests in JavaScript (TypeScript is a plus)

• Experience automating native mobile applications on iOS and/or Android using Appium-based solutions (WebdriverIO or similar)

• Experience with API/backend testing, including REST, JSON, and HTTP fundamentals

• Hands-on experience with Postman for API exploration, collection management, and mocking

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent)

• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (Postgres preferred); basic awareness of NoSQL

• Experience with JIRA and Confluence

• Upper Intermediate English — required for technical documentation, reading specs, and communication with group-level stakeholders

WILL BE A PLUS:

• Experience in FinTech (banking, payments, loan origination, onboarding) — helps ramp up faster on domain-specific risk areas

• Experience with service virtualization tools (Mountebank, WireMock, or similar)

• Experience with performance/load testing (Grafana k6, JMeter, or similar)

• Familiarity with ReportPortal or comparable test reporting platforms

• Familiarity with Zephyr Scale or other test case management tools

• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux command line

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analysis

• Analyze requirements, business needs, and technical specifications to define automation scope

• Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, and developers throughout the feature lifecycle

Automation

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for mobile (iOS/Android) and API layers

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines; maintain pipeline stability

• Apply service virtualization to isolate external dependencies in test scenarios

Testing

• Perform acceptance testing of new features before release

• Conduct backend/API testing focused on business logic and integration validation

• Test native Android and iOS applications across functional, regression, and smoke scenarios

Quality

• Create and maintain test documentation linked to test management tooling

• Participate in failure triage and contribute to suite stability improvements
