Automation QA Engineer
ORIL is seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Automation QA Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the automation testing strategy for our mission-critical, AI-driven data platform. The ideal candidate is a versatile, autonomous problem-solver with a strong technical background who can take end-to-end ownership of QA processes, establish automated regression pipelines from scratch, and lead AI-driven testing initiatives.
About the Project
Our client is a US-based innovator providing a centralized data platform for multi-family real estate. The product leverages BI analytics and AI to help operators optimize marketing spend and operational efficiency. The platform aggregates complex real estate datasets to feed real-time BI dashboards and power an intelligent Text-to-SQL analytics chatbot.
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a primary focus on Test Automation;
- Strong technical or engineering background (hands-on experience with code, reverse engineering, or previous software development experience);
- Openness to tech stacks with strong preference for JavaScript/TypeScript (Playwright, Cypress) or Python;
- Proven experience building test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Heroku, GitHub Actions), and automated regression suites from scratch;
- Strong expertise in API testing, backend validation, and complex data pipeline integration testing;
- Ability to conduct QA audits, design clear automation roadmaps, and communicate testing value to business stakeholders;
- Passion for leveraging AI tools in daily QA workflows and enthusiasm for testing AI/LLM-driven systems;
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to navigate sparse documentation, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment;
- English level: Upper-Intermediate+ for daily verbal and written syncs with US stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Architect, build, and maintain a scalable test automation framework for web platform, APIs, and data integrations;
- Take ownership of AI testing initiatives, including setting up automated health checks and benchmarking for the internal AI Assistant;
- Transition the platform’s regression lifecycle from manual weekly cycles to frequent, automated test runs executing every few hours;
- Ensure end-to-end data integrity across data scraping, processing, and UI dashboard visualization stages;
- Collaborate with the CTO, AI Engineer, and development team to integrate QA early into the SDLC and establish baseline documentation;
- Balance automation work with occasional exploratory or release-focused manual testing to support team throughput;
- Monitor, report, and troubleshoot pipeline failures and edge-case bugs across complex client property datasets.
