Automation QA Engineer

Project Responsibilities

Understand the data and data-record testing requirements 
Analyse data testing requirements and define appropriate test coverage 
Design automated tests rather than performing manual SQL validation 
Build a data test automation framework from scratch 
Develop test code alongside developers 
Maintain test code in GitHub or a separate test repository 
Automate test design 
Automate test execution 
Automate test reporting 
Integrate automated tests into ADO pipelines / CI/CD 
Validate data against source systems 
Perform automated data reconciliation 
Test data transformations / ETL processes 
Work with databases and write SQL queries 
Test data within Databricks 
Test Power BI reports, dashboards and paginated reports 
Ensure automated tests provide consistent and reliable results 
Work with AI/LLMs as part of the testing approach 
Think about verification not only at the individual test level, but also in the context of the wider enterprise application 
Work closely with developers during development and testing activities

Candidate's Portrait

Senior Software Engineer in Test focused on enterprise data testing and test automation. 
The specialist will work with the data engineering teams to build automated testing solutions covering test design, test execution, validation and reporting, with automation integrated into CI/CD pipelines. 
The role requires strong hands-on experience in data testing at enterprise scale, database testing and SQL, rather than application/mobile testing.
