Automation QA Engineer
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
A technology provider delivering digital solutions for the hospitality sector, supporting key operational areas such as booking management, event coordination, property administration, and day-to-day service processes. The focus is on improving operational workflows and enhancing overall experience across multiple stakeholders.
The platform is built using modern cloud-based architecture and supports organizations in managing the full-service lifecycle — from initial customer interaction through to on-site service and completion of the stay. The solutions are designed to improve efficiency, enable consistent service delivery, and support scalable operations in a global environment.
LOCATION: Ukraine (remote), Poland (remote)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of experience as Quality Assurance Automation Engineer
EDUCATION:
BS or MS in Math, Computer Science, Engineering
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies
- Background in both manual and automated testing of desktop, mobile and web applications including end-to-end and API testing
- Basic understanding of web technologies and applications built with .NET, Angular or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Robot Framework is highly preferred; experience with similar automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium is also considered
- Practical knowledge of creating and maintaining test automation documentation
- Experience in performance testing using JMeter
- Proficient in Visual Studio Code (VS Code) for test automation
- Working knowledge of databases
- Applied experience using AI tools (GitHub Copilot etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Experience in setting up a test engine and QA infrastructure into the system from scratch
- Strong experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Redmine)
- Intermediate+ level of English
DUTIES:
- Lead and carry out routine manual and automation QA tasks according to company QA procedures
- Set up and establish a testing pipeline and QA infrastructure from scratch, including frameworks, tooling, and reporting systems.
- Plan and estimate QA efforts on typical projects
- Identifying and creating reusable test data, methods, and frameworks
- Provide accurate and complete testing on clients’ projects
- Research, learn, and practice new testing methodologies, techniques, and skills
- Break down major tasks into smaller subtasks
- Work with cross-team product owners, developers and other test engineers to support the current QA processes
- Organize and participate in team and client meetings
- Report on statuses, progress, and concerns of clients
- Mentor QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate test development and improve overall testing efficiency
- Demonstrate strong cross-cultural communication skills when collaborating with international stakeholders and distributed teams
