Backend Engineer

We are looking for a strong Cloud & Enterprise Data Integration Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in backend integrations, cloud ecosystems, enterprise APIs, and scalable data flows, who can help connect AI-driven applications with complex enterprise platforms.

Our client is a global professional services company, providing audit, consulting, financial advisory, risk management, and tax services to public and private clients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud-based integration solutions for enterprise systems and AI platforms
• Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python
• Integrate external enterprise platforms and services (REST, OData, third-party APIs)
• Develop and support data pipelines, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems
• Work with cloud infrastructure and deployment environments (Azure, AWS, Databricks)
• Collaborate with AI, backend, and frontend engineers to ensure seamless system interoperability
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and system optimization
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and security of integrations and data flows
• Support CI/CD processes, containerization, and deployment automation
• Contribute to troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance improvements across environments

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Python
• Experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Strong experience with REST/API integrations and enterprise systems
• Experience integrating cloud services and external enterprise platforms
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservice architecture
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working with Azure, AWS, Databricks, or similar cloud ecosystems
• Familiarity with event-driven integrations, message brokers, and asynchronous processing
• Experience with authentication flows, API security, and access management
• Understanding of data processing, transformation, and integration best practices
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI/LLM-based platforms and integrations
• Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks
• Experience with vector databases and RAG pipelines
• Knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Gainsight, LeanIX, Salesforce, or similar
• Experience with MCP integrations
• Exposure to MLOps tooling and AI infrastructure
