Backend Engineer
To extend our small and friendly team, we are looking for a Senior Python Developer | AI Engineer to help us build and maintain production-ready software and AI systems.

Important: This is a software engineering position, not a data science or machine learning research role. We’re looking for someone who knows how to build reliable software and has real-world experience integrating AI into production systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Python-based backend applications and AI-powered systems
- Develop and maintain production AI solutions, including RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, and agentic workflows
- Work with technologies such as OpenAI SDK, LangFuse, vLLM, OpenRouter, and similar tools
- Design clean APIs, efficient database queries, and maintainable software architectures
- Write unit and integration tests and ensure the reliability of production systems
- Be a team player and maintain healthy relationships with clients and colleagues
Hard requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a software developer
- Expert knowledge of Python, including its core language features, async programming, and ecosystem
- Strong experience in backend development, APIs, SQL, and database design
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and writing clean, maintainable code
- Proven hands-on experience building or working on AI systems running in production (personal experiments, tutorials, and proof-of-concept projects alone are not sufficient)
- Practical experience with RAG, LLM APIs, embeddings, vector databases, or similar AI technologies
- Understanding of the challenges of running LLM-based systems in production, including reliability, latency, observability, and costs
- Ability to write meaningful automated tests and debug complex systems
- Fluent spoken and written English (all team communication is in English)
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and its cloud, particularly AI-related, services
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with self-hosted or open-source LLMs
- DevOps experience

Unfortunately, we cannot offer junior positions at this time.
