Backend Engineer
BIScience is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the Kyiv team on a full-time basis.
BIScience offers business intelligence solutions for online advertising activities. Our solutions maximize our clients’ profits by providing insights and analytics of their online presence compared to specific competitors and entire market segments. All our solutions are secure, reliable, intuitive, and usable. BIScience offers flexible packaging to accommodate the needs of small and medium businesses as well as large enterprises.
Our main product, AdClarity, aims to maximize our clients’ profits by providing insights and analytics of their online presence compared to specific competitors and entire market segments. The product monitors 30,000,000 web pages around the world daily, running on hundreds of servers. AdClarity monitors Display, Video, In-App, and Social channels, combining robotic and panel data.
Responsibilities
● Business features development
● Develop and maintain existing projects
● Contribute to architectural decisions and technologies for new and existing projects
Requirements
● Deep knowledge of Java Core (17), Spring Framework Stack (4+ years of experience)
● Experience with microservice architecture, high-scale and high-performance distributed systems
● Experience with messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
● Strong knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases
● Hands-on experience with Linux
● Proficient with Git; experienced with Jira and Confluence
● Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
Nice to have
● Basic knowledge of JavaScript
● Hands-on experience of web scraping
● Hands-on experience with metrics and monitoring using Grafana (Graphite/Prometheus)
● Experience with Playwright for headless browser automation and DOM interaction
● Experience with online advertising
● Academic IT education on master level in Computer Science or Engineering
