Backend Engineer

We are looking for a PHP Developer with a commercial TYPO3 experience to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of web solutions for international clients. In this role, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to feature implementation, optimization, and ongoing project support.

About the Project

The team develops and maintains web platforms built with TYPO3 CMS. The projects involve developing new functionality, integrating third-party services, supporting multilingual environments, improving system performance, and enhancing the existing architecture.

🕵️‍♂️ Required Skills and Experience

• 3+ years of commercial PHP development experience;
• 1+ year of commercial experience with TYPO3 CMS;
• strong knowledge of PHP and object-oriented programming principles;
• experience developing and customizing TYPO3 extensions;
• understanding of TYPO3 architecture and development approaches based on Extbase and Fluid;
• experience with MySQL or other relational databases;
• working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
• experience with Git;
• understanding of REST APIs and third-party service integrations;
• understanding of the software development lifecycle;
• English at an Intermediate level or higher;

🙌 Will Be a Plus:

• experience with recent TYPO3 versions;
• experience upgrading or migrating TYPO3 projects between versions;
• experience writing unit and integration tests;
• experience developing multilingual or multisite solutions;
• understanding of web security and performance optimization principles;

Key Responsibilities:

• develop and maintain web solutions using PHP and TYPO3;
• create and customize TYPO3 extensions;
• implement new functionality based on business requirements;
• integrate the platform with external APIs and services;
• participate in solution design and architectural discussions;
• maintain, refactor, and optimize the existing codebase;
• investigate and resolve technical issues;
• estimate tasks and participate in project planning;
