About the role
We are looking for a Middle .NET Backend Developer to join our team working on an enterprise Corporate Portal for a large-scale life insurance provider. The system serves as a key orchestration layer between corporate clients and the core insurance system, handling complex workflows like onboarding, bulk data uploads, multi-level billing, and deep third-party API integrations.
This role is an ideal match for a backend engineer who wants to work with a modern tech stack (.NET 9, C# 13) built on Clean Architecture and CQRS principles. We are looking for someone who actively leverages AI coding assistants to accelerate daily workflows, loves solving complex architectural challenges, and wants to grow within a strong Agile team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex backend business logic using .NET 9, following Clean Architecture, CQRS (via MediatR), and Unit of Work patterns
- Develop and maintain robust, high-performance RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core
- Heavily leverage AI coding assistants to accelerate development — including prompting, reviewing, and refining AI-assisted backend code
- Configure and manage background jobs for monthly billing cycles using Hangfire
- Handle complex data processing tasks, including PDF generation/conversion via Aspose and bulk Excel uploads using EPPlus
- Write efficient database queries using Entity Framework Core and work closely with SQL Server
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical leads to accurately understand and implement business requirements
- Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for testing and deployment
Requirements:
- 2+ years of commercial backend development experience with .NET technologies (C#)
- Practical experience working with AI coding assistants (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT) to optimize code generation, refactoring, and daily workflow
- Strong knowledge of ASP.NET Core Web API and building enterprise-grade RESTful services
- Practical experience applying Clean Architecture, CQRS (MediatR), Domain Events, and State Machines
- Solid experience with Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, and writing optimized queries
- Experience implementing background tasks (Hangfire or similar) and using mapping/validation tools (AutoMapper, FluentValidation)
- Confident use of Git and experience with CI/CD workflows (particularly Azure DevOps pipelines)
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive learning mindset
- Intermediate level of English or higher (for reading technical documentation and internal communication)
Nice to have:
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience with automated testing for backend services
