Backend Engineer

Our Customer:

Our customer develops AI-powered voice and SaaS solutions that connect intelligent bots and agents with communication platforms. The engineering environment combines modern test automation technologies with AI-assisted development practices across cloud-based and on-premises solutions.

Your Tasks:

• Develop and maintain backend services in Node.js for AI-powered voice and SaaS solutions
• Design and implement integrations between intelligent bots, agents and communication platforms
• Containerize backend services with Docker for consistent delivery across cloud and on-premises environments
• Deploy, monitor and support backend services in the cloud, primarily on Microsoft Azure
• Apply AI-powered coding assistants such as Claude to accelerate development, refactoring and code review
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues in Linux-based environments
• Maintain clean Git workflows, including branching, pull requests and code reviews
• Collaborate with QA and test automation engineers to ensure the quality and reliability of delivered features

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Node.js
• Hands-on experience with Docker
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered coding assistants and AI-driven development workflows (e.g., Claude)
• Working knowledge of Git
• Working knowledge of Linux environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• English — Upper Intermediate

Would Be a Plus:

• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, InfluxDB or ClickHouse
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including routing, NAT, TLS, proxies and DNS
