Backend Engineer

e are Artkai — a Ukrainian digital product engineering company. We are looking for a Senior Go Developer for a well-defined, fast-paced greenfield project.

📌 About the Project:

Greenfield development of a standalone service for creating and managing digital loyalty cards (digital passes) for Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. We need a specialist who understands how to build cloud-native applications and can take ownership of the backend architecture.

• Format: Full-time, 100% Remote.
• Duration: 2–3 months (contract) with a high possibility of transition to long-term projects.
• Location: Ukraine or Europe time zone (±).

🛠 The Tech Stack:

• Backend: Go (Golang)
• Infrastructure: GCP or AWS (we need a cloud-agnostic mindset)
• Tools: Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Pub/Sub, Secret Manager

💪 What we expect from you:

• 4+ years of commercial backend development experience with Go.
• Cloud Mastery: Deep understanding of how to write code specifically for the cloud. You should be comfortable using cloud-native services (like Google Cloud Pub/Sub / AWS SNS/SQS and Secret Manager) instead of building custom workarounds.
• Infrastructure: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required. You should understand how your service is deployed and orchestrated.
• Architecture: Ability to design clean, scalable, and asynchronous microservices from scratch.
• English level: B2 or higher.

⭐️ Will be a huge plus (Nice to have):

• Specific Experience: Prior work with cryptography and certificates for Apple Wallet / Google Wallet.
• Platform Experience: While we use GCP, strong experience with similar AWS services is perfectly fine as long as you can adapt quickly.
