Backend Engineer

ZentixSoft is looking for a Senior Node.js Engineer! 🚀
 

Format: Full-Time Outstaffing, long-term remote project. You will focus on building robust, high-performance, data-heavy product interfaces and enterprise backend workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and build backend services in Python and/or Node.js
Own API design - contracts, versioning, validation, documentation and backwards compatibility
Implement asynchronous and background processing using queues, workers and event-driven patterns
Handle retries, idempotency and failure paths so that processing stays reliable under load
Containerise services and deploy them on Azure with automated CI/CD
Maintain test coverage, observability and logging to support debugging and production support
Investigate and resolve production issues, and optimise performance and scalability
Participate in code review, technical discussions and estimation

Requirements:
6+ years of backend engineering experience
Strong Python and/or Node.js at a senior level
Proven API design experience beyond endpoint implementation
Hands-on experience with asynchronous processing — message queues, background workers, event-driven architecture
Experience with Docker and containerised deployment
Practical Azure experience
Strong testing discipline and production ownership
Good communication skills and ability to work independently

Nice to Have:
Kubernetes, Helm and infrastructure as code
PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases at scale
Experience mentoring engineers or leading a small team
Exposure to LLM integration within backend services
Experience in a consulting or client-facing environment
Experience in the energy sector
Availability to work a Sunday–Thursday working week
