Backend Engineer

Our global-scale operations are based on strong internal expertise, analytics, and data research. We have expertise in iGaming operations (sports betting, online casino), digital and affiliate marketing, tech solutions, and data analytics.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend and frontend services using Python.
• Design and implement REST APIs for payment processing and third-party integrations.
• Integrate external payment providers (PSPs), including pay-in, pay-out, and payment status callbacks.
• Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient processing of payment transactions and sensitive data.
• Actively use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex in daily workflows.
• Deploy and maintain services in Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable code and automated tests.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and release processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external payment providers to resolve integration and technical issues.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of commercial experience in Python development.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or similar solutions.
• Strong experience with FastAPI and/or Django.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio, async/await, event loop).
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, including database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Practical experience with MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or similar technologies.
• Experience with Docker and a good understanding of Kubernetes deployment and operations.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes, preferably GitLab pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, scalable, testable, and maintainable code.
• English B1+ for reading technical documentation and written communication.
