About the role: We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join a client project in the FinTech sector. You will be working on a live, high-load payment platform. This is not a greenfield project; it requires an engineer who is comfortable navigating, analyzing, and modifying existing production codebases to implement critical change requests.
Responsibilities:
- Implement change requests on a live backend system.
- Work directly with complex payment and transaction processing logic.
- Efficiently navigate, analyze, and adapt an existing live codebase.
- Maintain system stability while delivering new functionality.
Requirements:
- Experience: 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Core Tech: Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Domain Expertise: Mandatory deep understanding of the ISO 8583 protocol.
- Payment Systems: Solid hands-on experience in developing and maintaining backend payment or transaction processing systems.
- Analytical Skills: Proven experience in reading, modifying, and troubleshooting existing production-grade codebases.
- Language: English B2 level (proficient for daily communication with the client).
