Description
We’re looking for a Middle Node.js Engineer to join our backend team and contribute to building scalable, production-ready applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and AWS services. This role is ideal for a developer with solid experience in backend development who enjoys working with cloud-native technologies, improving system performance, and solving complex technical challenges.
Requirements:
● 3 + years of relevant experience in the IT industry, strong knowledge of JavaScript including ECMAScript;
● Experience with Node.js;
● Experience with Typescript;
● Experience with AWS;
● Experience with Serverless: 0,5 years;
● Experience with GIT and branching workflows;
● Knowledge of building tools for JavaScript projects;
● Strong proficiency with JavaScript, including ES6+ features and TypeScript;
● Experience with advanced Node.js frameworks like NestJS, and proficiency in creating scalable, production-ready applications;
● Knowledge of optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability, including performance tuning and load balancing;
● Experienced in database schema creation, advanced database management, and writing complex queries;
● Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, functional programming, and MVC design patterns;
● Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines;
● Motivation to grow beyond backend development and develop Full-stack expertise, particularly with React/TypeScript;
● English: Upper Intermediate.
Responsibilities:
● Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Node.js code following industry standards;
● Implement robust security and data protection measures, including secure API development and encryption;
● Set up and deploy backend applications, ensuring smooth integration with frontend components;
● Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimized, scalable solutions;
● Integrate multiple databases and data sources into unified systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB);
● Participate in code reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
● Provide guidance and support to junior developers when needed.
Nice to have:
● Understanding of data-driven architectures and analytics integrations;
● Exposure to Machine Learning, data engineering, or AI-driven personalization;
● Familiarity with React/Next.js (for occasional cross-functional collaboration);
● Experience with Serverless components and event-driven architectures.
