We are looking for a Senior Clojure Engineer to contribute to a financial technology product in the lending marketplace. The role focuses on building and evolving scalable backend services that support financial services and integrations. Strong production experience with Clojure, functional programming, and backend system design is central to this position.
Required for this role
- Senior-level experience in backend engineering
- Hands-on production experience with Clojure
- Strong understanding of functional programming
- Strong knowledge of backend system design
- Ability to write reliable, maintainable, and well-tested backend code
- Good English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a distributed team
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Clojure
- Contribute to the technical design of scalable backend systems supporting financial services and integrations
- Collaborate with the engineering team on implementation decisions
- Deliver reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical input
- Troubleshoot backend issues and support their resolution
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the ongoing evolution of the lending product
