Backend Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a full-time Middle Ruby on Rails Developer who enjoys developing new features, improving existing products, and working with long-term client projects. Depending on your experience and current business needs, you’ll join one of our Ruby on Rails teams working on products such as CRM, SaaS, booking, or eCommerce platforms.

What you’ll do

• Develop new features and improve existing functionality with Ruby on Rails.
• Build and maintain frontend features with React.
• Work with legacy code and gradually modernize existing solutions.
• Work with PostgreSQL, SQL, REST APIs, and RSpec.
• Fix bugs, improve application stability, and participate in code reviews and releases.
• Use AI coding tools as part of your daily development workflow.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, Project Managers, and clients.

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of commercial Ruby on Rails experience.
• Hands-on React experience.
• Experience working with legacy applications.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL, SQL, REST APIs, and RSpec.
• Understanding of OOP, SOLID, DRY, and KISS principles.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Intermediate+ English.
• Regular use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar in your development workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience with monolithic applications.
• Experience with production releases and deployments.
• Familiarity with Next.js, jQuery, or Bootstrap.
• Experience with Redmine or Basecamp.
