Backend Engineer
About Us: Giraffe Software is an outstaff company registered in Estonia. Currently, we are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a long-term enterprise platform modernization project focused on scalable backend systems, business process automation, and cloud-based architecture development. The product has been actively developed for over 3 years, with the MVP successfully delivered and the platform continuing to expand with new functionality and integrations.
How We Work:
- 50% of working hours aligned with US time zone;
- Jira time tracking, daily standups in English;
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and evolve scalable backend services and modern frontend apps (.NET + Angular or React);
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and stakeholders to shape technical solutions and ensure quality delivery;
- Use AI-assisted tools and modern workflows to boost productivity and accelerate delivery;
Tech Stack:
- Backend: C# / .NET, ASP.NET Core Web API, MVC, REST, EF, ADO.NET, LINQ;
- Frontend: Angular / React, TypeScript, RxJS;
- Data: MS SQL Server, T-SQL;
- Cloud/DevOps: Azure, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git-based workflows;
- AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude;
Requirements:
- 6+ years of commercial .NET / C# experience in production environments;
- Strong expertise in ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web APIs, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures;
- Angular or React + TypeScript, with solid understanding of frontend architecture, performance, and maintainability;
- Deep knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and practical application of GoF design patterns;
- Strong experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and enterprise-level backend systems;
- Proficiency with LINQ, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, and advanced T-SQL for MS SQL Server;
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices;
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and database layers;
- Comfortable with AI-assisted tools: GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude;
- Confident with Git workflows, branching strategies, pull requests, and collaborative development;
