> full description
We are looking for an experienced Blockchain Developer to help us modernize and rebuild our existing carbon credit platform, currently built on Polygon and Ethereum.
Our goal is to upgrade to a more advanced, scalable architecture using modern Layer 2 solutions such as Arbitrum (preferred) or similar technologies.
Blockchain-based platform that:
- Uses NFTs for project certification
- Issues tradable CO₂ tokens
- Provides an exchange for trading, holding, and retiring carbon units
- Ensures transparency and auditability for sustainability reporting
🔧 Responsibilities
- Redesign and rebuild smart contracts (NFT + token system)
- Migrate existing logic from Polygon to a modern Layer 2 (Arbitrum preferred)
- Implement secure token standards (ERC-721, ERC-20 / ERC-1155)
- Develop carbon credit “retirement” logic (burn / lock mechanisms)
- Integrate blockchain layer with backend systems (API, database, exchange)
- Optimize performance, gas usage, and scalability
- Conduct testing, auditing, and deployment
🧠 Requirements
- Strong experience with Solidity and smart contract development
- Proven work on Ethereum or Layer 2 solutions (Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.)
- Experience with NFT and token standards (ERC-721, ERC-20, ERC-1155)
- Understanding of blockchain security best practices
- Experience integrating blockchain with backend systems (Node.js/NestJS preferred)
- Familiarity with Web3 tools (Hardhat, Foundry, Ethers.js, etc.)
⭐ Nice to Have
- Experience with carbon credit, ESG, or sustainability platforms
- Knowledge of zero-knowledge technologies (e.g., zkSync)
- Experience building trading/exchange systems
- Smart contract auditing experience
💼 Engagement Details
- Type: Contract or long-term collaboration
- Workload: ~20–30 hours/week
- Timezone: GMT+2 preferred (flexible)
- Start: Immediate
🤝 How to Apply
Please share:
- Relevant blockchain projects (GitHub or portfolio)
- Experience with Layer 2 or scaling solutions
- Brief approach to rebuilding a system like Aetium
We’re building a real-world impact platform focused on transparency and sustainability — and we’re looking for someone who can help us take it to the next level with modern blockchain infrastructure.
