Location: Remote — 5+ hours of overlap with US Eastern hours Position
Type:
Full-time, long-term
Seniority Level:Middle / Middle+ (QA / BA / Technical PO)
Domain: Digital Health — Remote Patient Monitoring, Chronic Care Management, Billing

About the Project

A US-based digital health platform for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM). It integrates with a broad range of FDA-approved medical devices — blood-pressure cuffs, glucometers, scales, pulse oximeters, and more — and with leading EHR systems, helping providers and care teams monitor patients at home and run their RPM and CCM programs, including billing.

About the Role

A hands-on technical product role working directly under our Lead Technical PO — ideal for a Middle / Middle+ QA Engineer, Business Analyst, or Technical PO who wants to grow in product.

Our Lead Technical PO started as a Junior QA and grew into leading technical product ownership over 7 years. As the platform grows, he needs a strong right-hand teammate to take over part of his day-to-day workload and learn the craft alongside him.

You do not need to be a former software developer or a senior architect. Instead, you will help turn high-level epics into clear, testable tickets, document every detail agreed upon during grooming, localize bugs using APIs (Postman), browser DevTools, logs, and SQL, and verify releases in production.

Responsibilities

  • Turn epics into clear, structured tickets: work with the Lead Technical PO to write detailed requirements, edge cases, and acceptance criteria that leave nothing to guesswork.
  • Support the grooming loop: join refinement calls with engineers and designers so every agreed change reaches the final ticket before sprint start.
  • Investigate and localize production issues: reproduce bugs, check API payloads (Postman), DevTools, logs, and database records (SQL), and write clear tickets to fix the root cause.
  • Verify releases in production: check shipped tickets after deployment on real data and workflows, catching regressions before clients do.
  • Keep requirements and UX aligned: help engineers, QA, and designers quickly resolve day-to-day questions on tickets.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Technical / Manual QA Engineer, Business / Systems Analyst, or Technical PO on web/API products.
  • Practical experience with technical tools: you comfortably use API tools (Postman / Swagger), Browser DevTools, Jira / Confluence, and can run basic-to-intermediate SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, checking data) and read logs.
  • Detailed, structured technical writing in English (Upper-Intermediate / B2+ or higher): you naturally think in edge cases, negative scenarios, and clear acceptance criteria.
  • A working day of roughly 12:00–21:00 Kyiv time: a local team meeting at 12:00, the daily stand-up with the US team at 16:00 Kyiv (9:00 ET), and at least 5 hours of overlap with US Eastern business hours (occasionally more — e.g., for a release).
  • Occasional release verification windows in the US evening — night in Europe.
  • Genuine interest in growing as a Technical PO under an experienced mentor.

Nice to Have

  • QA Engineer or BA who has already been writing specs, user stories, or acceptance criteria for developers.
  • Experience participating in backlog grooming and refinement with engineering.
  • Basic ability to read code / scripts to understand business logic (or eagerness to learn it with mentor support).
  • Healthcare, FinTech, billing, or regulated domain experience.
  • Experience testing or specifying third-party API or EHR/EMR integrations.

What We Offer

  • A live, actively growing US product that helps real clinics and patients every day — plenty of meaningful work and real impact, with zero corporate bureaucracy.
  • Growth potential: as you master the domain and take more tasks off the Lead Technical PO’s plate, there is plenty of room to grow in responsibility and compensation.
  • Direct 1-on-1 mentorship from an experienced Lead Technical PO who grew from QA himself.
  • Long-term, full-time remote work with a US product and engineering team.
  • Stable compensation in USD, based on your experience.
