Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a discovery and risk assessment engagement, reconciling and validating large-scale vulnerability data for a UK enterprise client.

Project: A ten-week discovery and technical assessment engagement, with this role's workload likely front-loaded into the first two weeks to validate the corrected Qualys baseline and reconcile the asset inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Consume a corrected Qualys baseline and rebuild the analysis view for scoping
• Validate corrected data extracts
• Reconcile the asset inventory and resolve discrepancies for assets missing from the latest inventory (decommissioned vs. lost scan visibility)
• Produce a tooling and agent coverage assessment across the estate
• Support root-cause analysis for assets that have stopped receiving updates, some since 2023
• Size the non-patchable population

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in large-scale operational or security dataset analysis
• Experience reconciling data across multiple non-agreeing sources of truth
• Advanced spreadsheet skills plus scripted analysis experience (Python, SQL, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Qualys data structures; exposure to Ivanti, Ninja, or comparable patch management tooling is a plus
• Disciplined approach to documenting data quality limitations

• Upper-Intermediate English or higher
