We are looking for a Middle Data Analyst to join a FinTech product focused on proprietary trading and trader funding. In this role, you will help build scalable reporting structures, develop business-critical dashboards, and streamline data workflows within a modern cloud data platform. The environment is highly data-intensive, processing millions of real-time events and supporting decision-making through reliable analytics, semantic models, and automated data pipelines.
Required for this role
- 3–5 years of commercial experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, CTEs, window functions, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development, semantic modeling, and DAX
- Practical experience with Python and/or PySpark for data processing, automation, API integrations, and scripting
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star schema, snowflake schema, grain definition, and scalable reporting design
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or comparable solutions such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, or Databricks
- Experience integrating data from APIs, webhooks, and third-party SaaS platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and analytical models
- Strong attention to data quality, consistency, and maintainable analytical solutions
Nice to have
- Experience in capital markets, futures trading, proprietary trading firms, or brokerage operations
- Understanding of financial concepts such as drawdowns, leverage, volatility, and liquidation
- Experience working with financial time-series datasets
- Interest in machine learning use cases such as forecasting, anomaly detection, and churn prediction, with openness to tools like AutoML and MLflow
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that support business and operational decision-making
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and Python/PySpark scripts for data processing and automation
- Build and improve scalable data models and semantic layers within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, webhooks, and external SaaS platforms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions
- Define and maintain accurate data grain and reporting structures across analytical assets
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across reports, dashboards, and datasets
- Contribute to the improvement of reporting workflows and data delivery processes
