Data Engineer

We’re Applyft — an IT product company which creates value-driven mobile and web apps. Our journey began with the Geozilla family locator product, but now our portfolio consists of 8 apps in Family Safety, Parental Control and AI.

Now we are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team, who will design and maintain our data pipelines, integrate with third-party payment systems, and work closely with our data analysts to keep our data ecosystem accurate and efficient.

What you’ll do:

• Write Python integrations with third-party payment systems (PayPal, Primer, Solidgate, etc.)
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes for internal DWH
• Ensure the quality of data presented in BI dashboards
• Collaborate with data analysts to troubleshoot data issues and optimize data workflows

Who you are:

• At least 2 years of BI/DWH development experience
• Strong hands-on experience writing production-level Python code, including building and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs (REST APIs, authentication/OAuth, pagination, rate limiting, webhooks)
• Hands-on experience integrating with payment/billing platforms such as PayPal, Primer, Solidgate, Stripe, or similar payment gateways
• Experience working with app store billing/reporting APIs (App Store Connect/iTunes, Google Play Console/Billing)
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ELT/ETL data pipelines
• Experience working with cloud-native technologies (GCP/AWS)
• Knowledge of database concepts and hands-on experience with SQL

Would be a plus:

• Background in enterprise financial reporting and subscription monetization
• Exposure to product and marketing data analytics
• Familiarity with mobile products
• Working knowledge of Airflow
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience)
