Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in building scalable data platforms for SaaS and enterprise products, preferably within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with data lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, reporting, data quality, and ideally billing or FinOps-related data.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering;
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure;
• Experience designing and building Data Lakes / Data Warehouses and multi-tenant data architectures;
• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data ingestion, transformation, and processing;
• Experience developing canonical data models and semantic layers;
• Experience working with billing, invoices, subscriptions, services, SKUs, pricing, and reconciliation data;
• Experience with Azure Billing / Retail Prices API is a strong advantage;
• Knowledge of data quality, validation, reconciliation, lineage, and data governance;
• Experience preparing data for reporting, dashboards, analytics, and forecasting;
• Experience integrating APIs and multiple data sources;
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of cloud databases and performance optimization;
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including Repos, Boards, and Pipelines;
• Understanding of RBAC, tenant isolation, data protection, and auditability;
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile product team alongside .NET/Angular developers, QA, DevOps, and Product.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with FinOps / Cloud Cost Management;
• Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Functions, and Container Apps;
• Background in SaaS, cloud cost management, billing, or FinOps platforms;
• Experience with Power BI or other reporting solutions;
• Experience with AI/LLM data workflows or governed MCP/access layers.
