We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our data team. Currently, we are actively migrating to a new, modern technology stack. For you, this is a unique opportunity to participate in building a new data architecture from scratch, working side-by-side with experienced Senior Engineers.

We highly value initiative, clean code, and a willingness to understand the business logic behind tasks. We are ready to invest time in your training and professional growth, but we expect proactivity, self-reliance, and a desire to take full ownership of your tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Python using Apache Airflow as an orchestrator.
  • Build and maintain data models and transformations using dbt.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for relational (PostgreSQL) and analytical/columnar (Clickhouse) databases.
  • Work with AWS cloud infrastructure (interacting with S3, configuring AWS Lambda, using Amazon Athena, etc.).
  • Participate in setting up data streaming and Change Data Capture (CDC) processes using Debezium (under the mentorship of senior colleagues).
  • Basic infrastructure interaction (working with containers and gaining a basic understanding of deployment in Kubernetes).
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and PMs to gain a deeper understanding of data requirements and business goals.

Requirements:

  • Good foundational knowledge of Python: Comfortable writing basic scripts, working with standard data structures, and a strong willingness to learn clean coding standards.
  • Good level of SQL: Understanding of relational database basics (PostgreSQL), columnar databases and SQL.
  • Basic understanding of Data Warehousing (DWH) concepts.
  • Basic Git skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience or academic projects with data transformation tools (dbt) and orchestrators (Airflow).
  • Familiarity with columnar databases (specifically Clickhouse).
  • Basic experience with cloud providers (preferably AWS).
  • Understanding the basic principles of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Basic understanding how CDC solutions (Debezium) work.

Career Growth & Opportunities:

  • Become part of a global leader in iGaming innovation.
  • Access to professional development programs and industry events.
  • Opportunity to work with top-tier experts in cutting-edge technology.
  • Drive real impact in a fast-growing international market.
  • Flexible career progression within a scalable and adaptable platform.

Working Conditions:

— Vacation: 22 working days per year, plus official public holidays.

— Sick Leave:

*5 paid sick days annually (no certificate required).

*Up to 10 additional days covered at 100% with a valid medical certificate.

— Equipment: Personal budget for necessary hardware and tools.

— Education: Annual learning & development budget to support your professional growth.

— Health & Wellness: Access to a personal limit within our benefit cafeteria system for health-related expenses.
