Data Engineer

Codebridge is looking for a Data Architect to design the data layer powering enterprise GenAI/RAG/Agentic applications on Azure. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and evolve enterprise Azure data architecture supporting a broad range of needs — from classic data platforms to the data layer behind GenAI/RAG/Agentic applications 
• Own Azure Cosmos DB as a foundational, essential component of the platform 
• Design the data architecture around GenAI/RAG use cases: how enterprise data and knowledge are ingested, prepared, stored, governed, and made available for retrieval and AI consumption (architecture-level ownership — not hands-on RAG/agent development) 
• Build and modernize data platforms on Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL MI / SQL Server / T-SQL 
• Design Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture 
• Develop ingestion processes on Azure Functions, including metadata/configuration-driven ingestion 
• Own data modeling and architectural decisions across structured and genuinely unstructured data 
• Build scalable, well-governed data platforms supporting platform modernization 

Requirements: 

• Strong enterprise Azure Data Architecture background 
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture / data engineering 
• Azure Cosmos DB — fundamental and essential 
• Relevant experience designing data platforms supporting GenAI/RAG use cases  
• Relevant experience with AI-ready data architecture 
• Hands-on experience on a real project where you designed or contributed to the data architecture supporting a RAG, GenAI, or Agentic AI application  
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL MI / SQL Server / T-SQL 
• Experience with Azure Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture and Azure Functions 
• Strong architecture ownership: data modeling, ingestion, platform modernization 
• Experience with structured and genuinely unstructured data 
• Experience with metadata/configuration-driven ingestion and scalable data-platform design 
• Advanced level of English
