Data Engineer
We are looking for a Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help design and deliver robust data solutions in a professional Agile environment on the project of our Client — a leading SaaS company delivering advanced technical insights and analytics solutions that help customers make better business decisions. The organization develops innovative technologies that support operational efficiency, automation, and data-driven strategy. In this role, you will work on complex engineering challenges involving databases, services, and automated data pipelines. You will contribute across the full development life cycle, from design and implementation to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with modern development tools and practices, writing maintainable code, and communicating effectively with engineering, product, and design stakeholders. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys solving hard problems, improving existing systems, and building practical, elegant solutions that create value for customers.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable code in a professional Agile software engineering environment
- Define and implement practical, elegant solutions to the Customer’s problems
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve databases, services, and automated data pipelines
- Support and maintain current Production platforms
- Analyze and interpret functional requirements and data needs
- Contribute to architecture and technical solutions using modern software development patterns and best practices
- Challenge assumptions and ask thoughtful questions to improve product and engineering outcomes
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align on requirements, identify trade-offs early, and ensure steady delivery
- Help improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability across data systems and services
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- Strong understanding of software development, database development, and automated data pipelines
- Hands-on programming experience with Python
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Good understanding of algorithms and data structures
- Experience with modern application and data development tools
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with modern CI/CD practices
- Hands-on experience in designing and operating Production data pipelines using workflow orchestration tools such as:
- — AWS Step Functions
- — Apache Airflow
- — Prefect
- — Dagster
- — Temporal
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret functional requirements and data requirements
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams
- English level — Upper-Intermediate or higher
