Database Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Database Administrator / Developer to join the team of a European product company in the mobile payments space. You’ll work with a large-scale MS SQL environment and play an important role in keeping the product’s data infrastructure reliable and efficient.

 

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain scalable database architecture, schemas, tables, and relational data models.
• Configure, secure, and administer Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, execution plans, and indexing strategies.
• Monitor database performance and implement improvements.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
• Develop and maintain business reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders on data-driven solutions.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience as an MS SQL Server DBA and/or Database Developer.
• Strong expertise in relational database design and data architecture.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with indexing, execution plans, and database maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• English level sufficient for communication in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience supporting billing operations, including auditing financial data, investigating data discrepancies, and validating invoicing logic.
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI
