DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a DevOps / System Administrator to join a US-based project in the construction industry.

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the project’s infrastructure, deployment processes, security, networking, monitoring, and internal services. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working hands-on with both cloud infrastructure and Linux-based systems.

What you’ll do

• Manage and maintain infrastructure in AWS
• Work with EC2, CloudWatch, S3, IAM, VPC, Subnets, Route 53 and related AWS services
• Configure and maintain Linux servers
• Manage Nginx, SSL certificates, HTTPS, DNS and reverse proxies
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Jenkins
• Build, deploy and manage applications using Docker and Docker Compose
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks with Ansible
• Set up and maintain infrastructure monitoring using Zabbix and AWS CloudWatch
• Monitor system health, availability, performance and resource utilization
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment and production issues
• Manage VPNs, LDAP, IPA/FreeIPA and SSO
• Manage access, permissions, certificates and security-related configurations
• Participate in infrastructure improvements, migrations and automation

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps / System Administration
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Good understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnets, VPNs and firewalls
• Solid experience with Nginx, SSL/TLS and HTTPS
• Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
• Practical experience with GitLab CI and/or Jenkins
• Experience with Ansible or a similar configuration management tool
• Experience with Zabbix or a similar monitoring system
• Understanding of IAM, authentication and authorization
• Experience with LDAP / FreeIPA / SSO
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and work with production environments
• Good English communication skills

Would be a plus

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• PostgreSQL / MySQL administration
• Centralized logging solutions
• Bash/Python scripting
• Experience with AWS security and cost optimization
• Experience supporting distributed or US-based teams
