Our product is a unified cloud communications platform (Web, mobile app, and physical devices). Thanks to our full suite of APIs, you can seamlessly integrate its powerful capabilities. We have been developing a product for small and medium-sized businesses (both users and providers) in Europe for over 10 years, and continue to improve it.

We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer with strong PostgreSQL and High Availability expertise to own and improve our production infrastructure across multiple data centers.

Responsibilities

• Own the PostgreSQL cluster across data centers — replication, failover, backups, PITR
  restore drills, major version upgrades
• Maintain and improve internal services (NetBox, Authentik, Zitadel, Wazuh, n8n) —
  upgrades, HA, backups, integrations, access management
• Maintain and improve existing IT infrastructure (hardware servers, network storage,
  virtualization platform, virtual machines, services)
• Bring infrastructure under configuration management and write the runbooks that go with
  it
• Maintain monitoring and alerting so that an alert means a real problem
• Participate in infrastructure technology discussions and decisions

Requirements

• Strong Linux knowledge (Debian, Red Hat/Rocky).
• Production experience operating PostgreSQL HA clusters using Patroni, repmgr, or pg_auto_failover.
• Understanding of cross-datacenter replication: DCS quorum, synchronous vs
  asynchronous trade-offs, split-brain protection, behaviour under inter-site link loss
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL backup and recovery using pgBackRest, WAL-G, or Barman, including PITR and real restores.
• Good understanding of Linux networking.
• Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.
• Understanding of High Availability systems and infrastructure reliability.
• Security awareness.
• Good communication skills, initiative, and ability to document and share knowledge.
• Professional English (written and spoken).

• Virtualization: KVM, libvirt, Proxmox VE, oVirt.
• Storage/filesystems: Ceph, SAN, NAS, iSCSI, ZFS.
• Networking & traffic management: HAProxy, Nginx, Keepalived, PgBouncer.
• Identity & access: LDAP, OIDC, SAML, Authentik, Zitadel.
• DNS: BIND, PowerDNS, Knot.
• Monitoring & logging: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
• Networking: dynamic routing, MikroTik/RouterOS.
• Hardware: IPMI, RAID, disks, and rack servers.
• Experience maintaining internal service platforms.
