About the role

We are looking for a Middle or Senior DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team.

The role combines infrastructure operations, CI/CD, production reliability, troubleshooting, monitoring, security, and collaboration with engineering and business teams.

We are looking for someone who can work independently, investigate unfamiliar systems, clarify incomplete requirements, communicate risks, and take tasks through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the availability, reliability, security, and performance of production systems.
• Support Linux-based development, staging, and production environments, and manage infrastructure as code rather than by hand.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment processes, and release automation.
• Deploy and operate containerized applications on Docker Compose and Kubernetes, including GitOps-based delivery.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, runtime, and performance issues, and drive incident investigation through to follow-up improvements.
• Configure and maintain reverse proxies, load balancers, TLS certificates, and public-facing entry points.
• Improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and infrastructure automation.
• Identify infrastructure and security risks and work with engineering teams to resolve them.
• Gather and clarify requirements from developers, managers, and business stakeholders, and explain technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs clearly.
• Document infrastructure changes and operational procedures in our internal knowledge base.

Required skills and experience

• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, System Administration, Platform Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid experience with Docker, Docker Compose.
• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.
• Good knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, proxies, load balancing, and firewalls.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting using Zabbix, LGTM, OpenSearch and similar tools.
• Good Bash scripting skills.
• Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar systems and solve operational problems.
• Good written and spoken English, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical persons.

Nice to have

• Python scripting.
• Ansible, ArgoCD, Terraform, or managed Kubernetes in production.
• PostgreSQL, MariaDB/MySQL (incl. clustering), Redis, RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ, or Kafka.
• Supporting Java, PHP, or Node.js applications in production.
• Keycloak, LDAP, OIDC/SAML, or similar identity systems.
