A US-based healthcare technology company building an AI-powered communications platform for healthcare organizations. The engineering team is developing a next-generation cloud-native telecommunications platform focused on scalability, reliability, and real-time communications.

TEAM

A small, highly technical engineering team working closely with engineering leadership and AI engineers.

REQUIREMENTS

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience designing and operating highly available distributed systems.
• Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/UDP, DNS, NAT, TLS, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform is preferred.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience building platforms and automated infrastructure rather than only maintaining servers.

Telecommunications experience

Candidates should have experience with several of the following:

• FreeSWITCH
• Kamailio or OpenSIPS
• SIP
• RTP
• Telecom carrier integrations
• VoIP or UCaaS platforms
• CPaaS infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience with Go, Python, or Node.js.
• Experience with Helm.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience with Homer SIP Capture.
• Experience building CPaaS or UCaaS platforms.
• Experience with AI voice or speech-processing systems.
• Experience integrating with Telnyx.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, deploy, and operate highly available Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Build and maintain production FreeSWITCH clusters and Kamailio SIP infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Design secure and scalable SIP infrastructure.
• Integrate the platform with telecommunications carriers, including Telnyx.
• Optimize system performance, call quality, availability, and platform reliability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing, and observability.
• Develop provisioning APIs and internal operational tooling.
• Troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, SIP, and RTP issues.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate voice intelligence and speech-processing services.
• Build infrastructure for AI voice agents, intelligent call routing, messaging, analytics, voice recording, and provisioning services.
• Design and implement high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Continuously improve platform scalability, resiliency, automation, and security.
• Support the migration of customers from legacy VoIP infrastructure to the new cloud-native platform.
