DevOps Engineer

Outstaff Hiring: Remote — Contract (Full-time, long-term)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to help improve the reliability, scalability, and automation of a growing SaaS platform.

You will focus on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and supporting stable environments across cloud and hybrid setups. This role requires strong ownership, a proactive mindset, and a passion for reducing manual work through automation.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS services or similar tools
• Automate operational workflows using Python and shell scripting
• Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure (ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC)
• Support hybrid environments (cloud and on-premise)
• Work with Docker and Linux-based environments
• Improve monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Troubleshoot incidents and improve platform reliability
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Collaborate with developers to improve deployment processes and environment consistency
• Create documentation and share knowledge across teams

Requirements

• 3–6 years of DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (ECS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, VPC)
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash
• Experience with Docker and Linux environments
• Good understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
• Strong ownership and proactive approach to delivery
• Good communication skills
• Good spoken and written English

Nice to Have

• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure
• Familiarity with Ansible or similar configuration management tools
• Familiarity with Node.js environments
• Experience with security and compliance standards (ISO 27001)
• Experience with Grafana and Prometheus
