We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our 24/7 Infrastructure Support Team, which provides continuous infrastructure support for multiple projects and customers. You will monitor systems, respond to alerts, resolve incidents, and help ensure stable, reliable cloud environments.
The Infrastructure Support Team consists of 4 Junior DevOps Engineers working in a shared rotation to provide 24/7 support coverage.
Each engineer participates in two support rotations per month:
- One week of daytime support (09:00 a.m. — 06:00 p.m. EEST)
- One week of overnight support (06:00 p.m. — 09:00 a.m. EEST)
Outside of these rotations, engineers work their regular schedule. The team collectively ensures continuous support coverage across weekdays and weekends.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Linux administration experience.
- 1+ year of AWS Cloud commercial experience (Networking, EC2, ECS, S3, Cloud Watch, RDS, IAM).
- Good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, OSI 4, HTTP, etc.).
- Experience in Bash or Python scripting.
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Knowledge of Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Basic knowledge of the ELK/EFK stack, Loki.
- Experience with RDBMS databases.
- Experience with configuring web servers: Nginx and Apache.
- Docker containerization.
- Basic knowledge of Ansible and Packer.
- Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s).
- Good English (B2 — intermediate or higher, written and spoken).
Responsibilities
- Resolve incidents generated by monitoring and alerting systems in accordance with runbooks, escalation policies, and project SLAs.
- Maintain procedural documentation and operational reports.
- Document troubleshooting steps, incident details, and problem-resolution actions.
- Respond to customer calls, emails, and messages, ensuring timely and appropriate action on reported issues.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain server and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
- Research, analyse, and propose improvements or new technologies to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Ensure smooth, professional communication with customers and internal teams via web platforms, messengers, email, and phone.
- Obtain the AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer certification within 12 months of joining the team.
Nice to have
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline, GitHub Actions).
- Managing Java, NodeJS, PHP and Python web applications on the infrastructure level.
- Infrastructure as a Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. NewRelic, Nagios, PagerDuty, DataDog).
- Experience with virtualisation systems (KVM, VMWare, Proxmox, etc.).
- Experience in Jira, Confluence.
