DevOps Engineer

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to review, restructure and secure the existing AWS infrastructure supporting an Online Academy platform.

The platform is based on microservices and currently has separate Production, Demo and Testing/Staging environments. The infrastructure has evolved over time with manual configurations and limited access control. The goal is to establish a secure, reliable and maintainable AWS environment aligned with AWS best practices and support ISO 27001 readiness.

Responsibilities :

• Assess the existing AWS infrastructure and architecture.
• Review AWS accounts, networking, IAM, compute, storage, databases and microservice communication.
• Improve isolation between Production, Demo and Testing/Staging environments.
• Review and implement secure IAM based on least privilege and role-based access.
• Introduce Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and move infrastructure configuration into version control.
• Review and improve CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Implement and improve security controls, logging, monitoring, alerting and backups.
• Identify and address infrastructure and security gaps relevant to ISO 27001 readiness.
• Work closely with the developer re-architecting the microservices platform.
• Document the current and target architecture, access model and operational procedures.

• Experience with production environment isolation
• English communication skills

Nice to have :

• ISO 27001 / security compliance experience

The expected implementation scope is approximately 2-3 months, subject to the outcome of the initial infrastructure assessment.
