About the role:
We are looking for a Network / Embedded engineer to join the client’s team to work at the boundary between embedded devices, wireless communication, network infrastructure and telemetry.
The role is focused on understanding how network data is generated at the edge, integrating telemetry sources, validating simulator behavior and supporting controlled field experiments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze embedded architecture of network devices, gateways and repeaters
- Understand firmware/network interfaces
- Investigate telemetry generation and collection
- Work with RSSI, SNR, packet-loss, battery and device-state data
- Identify telemetry gaps and instrumentation requirements
- Integrate network telemetry with existing data infrastructure
- Support network simulator integration and experiments
- Validate simulator outputs against real-world measurements
- Support controlled field deployments
- Investigate communication issues across firmware, radio and network layers
- Automate data collection and technical experiments
- Support creation of reproducible network experiments
- Work closely with Network Architects, Data Engineers and ML Engineers
Requirements:
- 5+ years of embedded/network engineering experience
- Strong embedded systems knowledge
- Experience with embedded Linux and/or microcontrollers
- Experience with wireless communication systems
- Understanding of network protocols and distributed systems
- Experience with telemetry and device diagnostics
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Experience integrating hardware/firmware with backend or cloud systems
- Python and/or C/C++
