Neros UA is looking for a Service Engineer / UAV Technician to support our Ukraine operations through hands-on UAV assembly, modification, testing, and repair. This role will work closely with local engineering and mission success teams to adapt products based on end-user feedback and maintain a reliable technical service capability in Ukraine.
- UAV Assembly & Modification: Build, repair, and modify FPV drones, UAV systems, test articles, and R&D prototypes based on engineering instructions and end-user requirements.
- Soldering & Electrical Work: Perform soldering, wiring, connector maintenance, cable work, continuity checks, and basic electrical diagnostics.
- Prototype & Engineering Support: Assist engineers with prototype integration, component installation, test preparation, and troubleshooting during development cycles.
- Testing & Field Support: Support flight tests by preparing equipment, managing batteries and tools, setting up test areas, and acting as technical ground support.
- Workshop & Inventory Ownership: Maintain an organized technical workspace, manage tools and consumables, and support control of R&D inventory and field equipment.
- Documentation & Process Discipline: Follow technical instructions, record modifications and issues, and help create a repeatable service and modification process with consistent quality.
Requirements
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with electronics, UAVs, FPV drones, robotics, RC systems, hardware repair, or similar technical work.
- Practical soldering experience, including wiring, connectors, small components, and basic repair work.
- Basic diagnostic skills, including continuity checks, connector inspection, overheating or vibration detection, and structured troubleshooting.
- Ability to assemble and maintain electromechanical systems using hand tools, bench tools, and technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to build quality, repeatability, and safe handling of equipment.
- Ability to follow engineering guidance, maintain basic documentation, and communicate technical issues clearly.
- Organized, responsible, and comfortable working in a workshop, lab, and field testing environment.
- Self-directed working style with a strong desire to learn and grow into deeper UAV systems and engineering work.
As a plus:
- Hands-on experience with FPV drone assembly, wiring, soldering, tuning, maintenance, or repair.
- Familiarity with UAV components such as flight controllers, ESCs, VTX, RX, motors, antennas, batteries, and power systems.
- Understanding of FPV control systems such as ELRS, CRSF, SBUS, or similar protocols.
- Familiarity with Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, or other UAV configuration tools.
- Experience with 3D printing, precision mechanics, battery handling, LiPo/Li-ion safety, or field test support.
- English level B1+ or higher, with the ability to read technical instructions and communicate with international engineering teammates.
