- Technical ownership: Take responsibility for firmware development and directly influence product functionality.
- Hands-on engineering: Work with real devices and solve practical embedded development challenges.
- Technical growth: Gain exposure to hardware integration, automated testing, and potentially Rust in the future.
🔎 What we’re looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience in embedded software development using C
- Experience with Python for automated testing or manufacturing test scripts
- Familiarity with Doxygen and Sphinx
- Practical experience with STM32, ESP32, SAMD21, or similar microcontrollers
- Ability to independently develop, maintain, debug, and optimize firmware.
- Experience with GCC toolchain and CMake
- Confident experience working in Linux environments (preferably Debian-based).
- Good knowledge of Git and experience with GitLab CI/CD.
- Understanding of Docker-based build environments.
- Knowledge of embedded communication interfaces and protocols, including serial communication, Bluetooth Classic and BLE.
- Ability to work with technical documentation and maintain well-structured, documented code.
- English — Intermediate (B1+) or higher.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of electronic circuits, PCB schematics, and board layouts (KiCad, Fusion, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of stepper motor control, battery management, power systems, and sensors.
- Experience with hardware testing, PCB prototyping, or test fixture design.
- Experience creating and maintaining .deb packages.
- Familiarity with remote device testing via SSH, RDP, and VPN.
- Interest in or experience with Rust.
👨💻 What you’ll do
- Independently develop, maintain, and improve C-based firmware for STM32, ESP32, and SAMD21 microcontrollers.
- Take ownership of firmware functionality, debugging, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements.
- Maintain and improve CMake-based build configurations.
- Support and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines using Docker containers.
- Perform remote testing and debugging of devices in Linux-based environments.
- Maintain and update technical documentation using Doxygen and Sphinx.
- Support the existing Python-based automated testing framework when needed.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on device integration and hardware-related challenges.
- Contribute to improving firmware quality, reliability, and development processes.
