About the Project
Our client specializes in the design and manufacturing of power supplies and voltage converters for industrial electronics: DC/DC converters and AC/DC power supplies, including DIN-rail mounted units for industrial control cabinets. Our products are used in industrial automation, medical equipment, transportation, and telecommunications — industries where reliability and quality are critical.
We are currently running a large-scale Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation project for the company and are looking for a specialist to lead the data migration from our existing ERP system into D365 F&O.
The migration covers core business objects — customer data, open sales orders, and other master and transactional data. The primary migration technology is the Data Management Framework (DMF) in D365 F&O.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data migration flows from the legacy ERP system to D365 F&O using DMF
- Develop and configure data entities and data packages; define entity sequencing for the load process
- Configure set-based and multi-threaded imports to optimize migration performance
- Extract, transform, and cleanse data from the legacy SQL Server database
- Build ETL pipelines (SSIS / Azure Data Factory) to prepare data for import
- Automate migration processes via the DMF Package REST API
- Validate migrated data, resolve discrepancies, and support mock runs prior to go-live
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to align on data mapping
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with the D365 F&O Data Management Framework (data entities, data packages, entity sequencing, set-based/multi-threaded imports)
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and cleansing from the legacy database
- Experience with ETL tooling such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory
- Experience automating migrations via the DMF Package REST API is a plus
- Understanding of D365 F&O data structures (customers, sales orders, etc.)
- Prior experience with data migration workstreams in ERP implementation projects
- Upper Intermediate English level
