Frontend Engineer

Hutko is a Ukrainian fintech service that helps businesses accept payments conveniently and securely.

In partnership with PUMB — one of Ukraine’s most dynamic banks — we develop payment solutions that address entrepreneurs’ everyday needs and contribute to the growth of Ukraine’s economy. As part of the same banking group, we have a strong foundation that enables us to help Ukrainian businesses remain resilient.

We are currently looking for a Frontend Developer to join our product team and help develop our fintech product, making it even more user-friendly, faster, and more feature-rich.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain and enhance existing enterprise projects built using a range of technologies and architectural approaches.
• Support projects developed in vanilla JavaScript.
• Develop new web projects and features.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend solutions with internal and external REST APIs.
• Fix bugs, optimize performance, and improve code quality.
• Ensure that web applications meet information security requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions of technical solutions.
• Collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, designers, and other members of the product team.

What we’re looking for:

• Professional experience in frontend development.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors, particularly SCSS.
• Hands-on experience with Vue.js and React.
• Experience maintaining projects developed in vanilla JavaScript.
• Understanding of REST APIs and client-server communication.
• Experience with Git.
• Basic understanding of Docker and containerized development environments.
• Experience working with PHP projects and HTML templates.
• Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Ability to work with an existing codebase and improve it incrementally.
• Attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to find solutions independently.

Nice to have:

• Experience working on fintech, banking, or other high-load products.
• Understanding of secure web development fundamentals and common web vulnerabilities.
• Experience optimizing web application loading speed and performance.
• Experience writing unit or integration tests.
• Knowledge of TypeScript.
• Experience with CI/CD processes.
